VIDEO: Vocal Anti-Life Students vs. Powerful Pro-Life Student Testimonials

Recruiting for a pro-life student group by yourself as a guy is a thankless and difficult job, especially on a liberal campus.

I went to the University of North Texas campus to help Eagles for Life identify pro-life students and potential new members and obtained 33 names, emails and phone numbers.

But several pro-abortion students told me I had no right to be there or even speak about abortion because I "had no uterus," as if women got pregnant all by themselves, children didn't have fathers, or fathers had no rights.

One student repeatedly referred to the baby in the womb as an uninvited "parasite." One student said it was ok to kill the unborn baby because "it doesn't have a face." One student implied abortion was ok because there are enough people in the world, saying "There's 10 billion people on this planet."

Professor Forced to Resign After He Criticized Islam

tonylisti
By Tony Listi, on Feb 21, 2012 @ Tarrant County College District

The political left in academia is all about "tolerance" and "academic freedom" except when it comes to free speech that is critical of their philosophies, policies, or favored constituencies.

Professor Paul Derengowski was critical of Islam and called it a "cult" during a philosophy class on world religions at Tarrant County Community College (TCCC). Two Muslim students complained to the college administration, which apparently put pressure on Derengowski to resign or face being fired.

The professor also has a personal website that is unaffiliated with TCCC and dedicated to Christian apologetics. The students also objected to what they considered offensive and inflammatory images (i.e. the World Trade Center towers and a boy holding a gun) on the site.

Islam is apparently sacred, but leftist academia has no problem when professors and administrators deride Christianity or Judaism in the most vicious ways.

Hispanic Conservatives Denounce Baylor-Sponsored DREAM Act Event

Hispanic leaders in Texas are joining a student's fight against a political culture they say pigeon-holes minorities as reliably liberal.

Daniel Cervera, a senior at Baylor University, filed legislation at his school's student government in response to what he describes as selective enforcement of university policy: "The school essentially sponsored a speaking platform to an illegal immigrant enrolled in our law school, who then used that platform to speak in favor of civil unrest to push a political agenda."

Baylor U Promotes Illegal Immigration & DREAM Act, Young Conservatives Protest

On Thursday, November 3, Baylor University's Student Senate will vote on a bill calling on University officials to "cease promotion and/or sponsorship of any events or guest speakers which advocate violent rebellion and illegal resistance to the laws of the state and nation or the rules of the University."

The bill, authored by senior Daniel Cervera, is in response to a Hispanic Civil Rights Forum, an event which largely served to promote the DREAM Act. The event was moderated by Dr. Elizabeth Palacios, Baylor's Dean for Student Development, and sponsored by Baylor's Department of Multicultural Affairs.

Jose Mangana, a Baylor Law student, spoke as one of the panelists, and declared himself as "undocumented."  At the lecture, Mangana encouraged civil disobedience, "One thing we do--and we're all not afraid of this--is we do a lot of civil disobedience. So undocumented students do sit-ins, and block traffic, and go into senators' offices and refuse to leave, and then they'll get arrested. And all that serves to draw attention, and keep the spotlight."

The Young Conservatives of Texas chapter at the University of Texas at Dallas is finally getting off the ground thanks to the efforts of Eric Hall.

With the help of CampusReform.org staff, Eric obtained 45 names and contact information from students who self-identified as conservative or interested in learning more about conservatism. The technique of the human sandwichboard was effective.
